Bear hats and burping, must be Tuesday!

Ah Tuesday, how I love you.   So, I'm sitting at work today waiting and watching people when I looked to my right and what did I see?  Why I saw a grown woman perhaps early 20's wearing a massive furry bear hat/scarf   complete with paws coming at me.   Hmmm.... Again, I feel I must stress that when coming to court and visiting the floors that I visit it is perhaps not appropriate to wear a gigantic bear hat all the while leaving your hands in the giant paw scarf.  I've seen these scarves at the malls and have thought that my four year old or even maybe my seven year old might get a kick out of them.  Court appropriate, not so much.
Like this only brown and more fuzzy.

I had recovered from my bear encounter and was patiently waiting for one my guys to come when a man sat next to me on the bench.  Alright, no problem I don't mind sharing.  That is until he started burping.  I'm not talking about a little tiny belch that slips out and you quietly say 'excuse me'.  I'm talking about a BURP the kind that you did or do at the dinner table and get crap for.  Not once, not twice but at least FOUR times this man burped, didn't excuse himself and continued to sit next to me.  I was sitting there thinking, am I being punk'ed and don't know it.  Who does that??  Who sits and burps repeatedly next to a complete stranger in a Government Court House??

Every day it gets weirder and I just laugh because honestly some days I feel like I am in some alternate universe.

A Blog? Really?

I have people tell me everyday that I should start a blog about the crap I see where I work.  So I am going to try this...   I'm not able to take pictures... I tried and was advised that it wasn't a good idea.  My compromise is that I will try to find examples that I can post.  Feel free to do the same.

A little back story.... I have worked out of my home for the past five years so as I jump back into the world of the working  I'm noticing that it's different.  Not good different but more of 'What the Hell' different.  As a friend recently commented it's like I am the gate keeper at the Loonie Bin some days.  The goal of this blog is not to be cruel or mean but to enjoy the choices of others,  choices that are sometimes questionable.  =)

So I will start with Thursday and Friday when a Leprechaun and a man in a Captain America type hat/mask made appearances.  Captain Americas goal was to preserve justice...  I'm fairly certain that the Master or Justice he was going before didn't see it the same way.  Showing that you are perhaps a little left of centre may not be the right choice when going before the Judiciary.    The Leprechaun was a delightful if odd distraction to the garbage that goes on inside the Court House.   Who doesn't love a man who wanders around down town wearing a Leprechaun costume complete with pot to hold all his gold.  All the people taking pictures of him sure loved it.  Yes, I tried to get a picture but he was going too fast!  This is very very similar to what he was wearing except that he was about 70.

Until next time.....  The Gate Keeper
